We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our leadership team as Director of Quality. In this pivotal role, you will drive quality assurance and enhancement across all aspects of the College’s academic and professional services provision. You will lead our dedicated Quality and Complaints team, ensure compliance with regulatory and awarding body requirements, and embed a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. You will ensure that every student benefits from a consistent, high-quality learning experience - whether on campus or online.

As Director of Quality, you will:

  • Lead the development of agile and robust quality policies, systems and processes.
  • Drive enhancement-led assurance of our curriculum and digital learning provision.
  • Champion continuous improvement across teaching, learning, and support services.
  • Build strong partnerships with sector bodies such as QAA, Education Scotland, SPARQS, and awarding bodies.
  • Oversee compliance with all national quality frameworks and regulatory requirements.
  • Inspire and lead a team, fostering a supportive culture of excellence, and innovation.
  • Shape and implement our approach to complaints handling and student engagement.

You will play a key role in preparing for Tertiary Quality Enhancement Review (TQER) and the College’s future ambitions.

We are looking for a proven leader who brings:

  • A strong track record in quality assurance and enhancement in further and higher education.
  • Experience of implementing quality systems and self-evaluation processes.
  • A collaborative, forward-thinking approach to driving change and digital transformation.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
  • A passion for improving student outcomes and delivering meaningful change.

You will hold a degree-level qualification (SCQF Level 9 or equivalent) and will ideally have a postgraduate qualification (SCQF Level 11). Evidence of continuing professional development is essential.
