EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER

Cumbernauld Campus Nursery

17.5 hours per week (approx. 10.30am until 2.00pm)

Temporary until June 2026

£28,538 per annum, pro rata

New College Lanarkshire is recruiting a highly motivated Early Years Practitioner to support the delivery of high quality practice within the Early Learning and Childcare Sector.

The Early Years Practitioner will have responsibility for the learning and development of our youngest learners through the planning and preparation of stimulating learning experiences as well as supporting lunch time routines, in line with Curriculum for Excellence and national practice guidance.

You will have skills, knowledge and experience of current Early Learning and Childcare provision and procedures and have a passion for promoting and delivering play and learning experiences.

Applicants must possess a relevant qualification such as HNC Childhood Practice (Formerly HNC Early Education and Childcare) or SCQF Level 7 Social Services Children and Young People award, as required by Scottish Social service Council (SSSC) for registration as a Practitioner in day care of children services.

This position is subject to membership of the Scottish Social Service Council (SSSC) and the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
