LECTURER – PLUMBING & GAS

35 hours per week

£41,833 - £50,359 Per Annum Pro Rata

To supplement our existing staff team, we would welcome applications from those interested in teaching Plumbing/Gas discipline within the Department of Construction Trades Technology. 

Essential

With practical experience in the relevant discipline, you must be a qualified Plumbing/Gas Engineer and have served a recognised Apprenticeship, with post qualified industry work experience in the respective discipline.

You should be qualified to a minimum of HNC level in a relevant craft discipline (SCQF level 7) or an equivalent level of qualification, in an appropriate field.  Possession of current Gas ACS and Renewable Technologies certification is essential.

You will have experience in teaching, delivering and developing the Further Education curriculum, namely, SVQ Plumbing and Heating at SCQF level 7.

Desirable

Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and possession of a teaching qualification, and assessor or verifier units, would be desirable and in possession of a clean driving licence.

An effective communicator, and a highly motivated individual, you will have a passion for the subject and the ability to work to deadlines both within a team setting, and on your own.
