Modern Apprenticeship Project Manager (Engineering Fabrication and Welding)

£41,011 per annum

35 hours per week

Motherwell Campus

Temporary for one year

We are seeking an experienced individual to project manage our MA portfolio within our Engineering Department (Fabrication and Welding).

The suitable candidate will be qualified to SCQF Level 7 within a relevant discipline, or hold a similar qualification or experience within a related area. You will be in possession of (or willing to work towards) relevant formal Assessor & Verifier qualifications relating to the gathering and verification of evidence of learner attainment in a range of work settings. In this role you will work closely with the Head of Department and wider curriculum team to assess candidates, carry out internal verification and coordinate Modern Apprenticeship activity. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards and ensuring the success of our candidates.

Candidates should be able to evidence experience of delivering SVQ or similar L&D Awards at a range of levels, and managing caseloads and conflicting priorities. Previous experience of working within a training or further education environment is advantageous. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and networking skills, and have the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships at all levels, both internal and external.

Recent industrial experience and knowledge of the relevant National Occupational Standards system is essential for this post, as is the ability to work to strict deadlines.
