LECTURER – ACTING & PERFORMANCE

Music Industries & Performing Arts

Motherwell & Coatbridge Campus

Temporary until January 2026

30.45 hours per week

£41,833 - £50,359 Per Annum Pro Rata

We have an opportunity for a motivated and committed individual to join the Performing Arts Team. You will contribute to the delivery of our Performing Arts subjects across SCQF Levels 6-8 at Coatbridge and Motherwell campuses.

The successful applicant will possess a Degree (or equivalent) in a related subject and have relevant industry experience in the following areas:

• Strong technical ability in acting techniques across stage and screen.
• Vocal clarity, control, and expressive range.
• Character development and text analysis skills.
• Devising, directing, and collaborative performance-making ability.
• Stagecraft and screen performance awareness.
• Clear teaching and communication skills.
• Rehearsal direction and ensemble management.
• Current knowledge of acting and performance industry practices.
• Classroom management.

Experience in the delivery of the FE curriculum and a teaching qualification are desirable.  Excellent communication skills are essential.

The successful applicants may be required to deliver at any of the College’s main campuses, online and/or in private company training facilities.
