TEMPORARY LECTURER – MOVEMENT

Music Industries & Performing Arts

Motherwell Campus

Temporary until June 2026

9 hours per week

£41,833 - £50,359 Per Annum Pro Rata

We have an opportunity for a motivated and committed individual to join the Performing Arts Team. You will contribute to the delivery of our Performing Arts subjects across SCQF Levels 6-8 at Coatbridge and Motherwell campuses. 

The successful applicant will possess a Degree (or equivalent) in a related subject and have relevant industry experience in the following areas:

• Knowledge of anatomy, fitness principles, and conditioning for safe movement practice.
• Ability to teach warm-up, mobility, and strength exercises for rehearsal and performance.
• Movement improvisation and development of responses to varied stimuli.
• Application of compositional devices and dynamics in movement creation.
• Group rehearsal leadership and contribution to collaborative movement studies.
• Ability to integrate stagecraft, space, and physical expression into performance.
• Critical evaluation of movement practice and strategies for student development.
• Classroom management

Experience in the delivery of the FE curriculum and a teaching qualification are desirable.  Excellent communication skills are essential.

The successful applicants may be required to deliver at any of the College’s main campuses, online and/or in private company training facilities.
