We are seeking a motivated and forward-thinking Temporary Lecturer in Sport and Physical Activity to join our dynamic and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for sport and fitness who is keen to inspire, engage, and develop the next generation of learners.
Based primarily across our Motherwell and Broadwood campuses, you will play a key role in delivering and enhancing programmes from SCQF Levels 4 to 8, supporting students to achieve their full potential and progress within the sport and fitness industry.
While the successful candidate will teach across a range of sport and physical activity disciplines, we are particularly keen to hear from candidates with a strong and up-to-date understanding of current fitness trends and the ability to embed these into engaging learning experiences. We also welcome applicants who can draw upon their current sports coaching experience to deliver high-quality teaching, using real-world scenarios to enhance the learning and development of our students.
We are looking for individuals who are:

- Strong communicators with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Committed to continuous improvement and delivering a high-quality learner experience
The successful candidate(s) will hold a degree (SCQF9) (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area and have recent industry experience. You should also be able to demonstrate:
- Experience of planning and delivering engaging theory and practical sessions aligned to current industry standards
- A strong and current understanding of fitness trends and their application within teaching and coaching contexts
- Strong knowledge of coaching theory and practice
- Effective teaching, communication and group management skills
Experience of delivering within the FE curriculum and possession of a teaching qualification are desirable.
