INTERNAL/EXTERNAL VACANCY

Digital Learning Advisor (Ref. No. A108)  
Part-time (21 hours, 3 days per week) – fixed term until 30th June 2026 
Aberdeen City Campus or Fraserburgh Campus 
Salary: £38,442.62 - £41,444.26 pro rata per annum 
Actual Salary: £23,065.57 - £24,866.56 per annum 

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual with a high level of technological skill and a strong attention to detail.   

The successful candidate will support & train staff in using digital technologies, create and deliver learning activities and will have a strong awareness of innovations & technologies in learning & teaching. An understanding of teaching & assessment processes & guidelines and have an understanding as to how curriculum teams can be supported to enhance the learner experience via the use of technology is beneficial to the role.  

If you are a highly effective team player who actively supports colleagues in developing their specialist digital expertise and is able to champion the use of the VLE and other digital technologies, we want you to come and join our team.

To apply, you should hold a Degree in a relevant subject area and experience of data input, using a Windows environment and knowledge of D2L Brightspace or VLE platform is essential.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Degree or equivalent (SCQF Level 10) in a relevant subject area;
  2. Evidence of continuous professional development.
  3. *Recognised teaching qualifications

EXPERIENCE

  1. Experience of data input;
  2. Experience of using D2L Brightspace or similar LMS/VLE software;
  3. *Experience of using a content management system;
  4. *Experience of using specialist software/tools to develop online materials and interactive assessments
  5. Experience of working as part of a team to achieve shared objectives.
  6. *Experience of delivering teaching/training

KNOWLEDGE

  1. Familiarly with a Windows environment;
  2. Familiarity with D2L Brightspace or similar learning platforms and associated new technologies relating to teaching and learning;
  3. *Familiarity with cataloguing;
  4. *Familiarity with content management systems/digital repositories;
  5. Experience of producing electronic materials for use in a VLE;
  6. An awareness of how curriculum teams can be supported to enhance the learner experience via the use of technology;
  7. Knowledge of new innovations and technologies in learning and teaching;
  8. An understanding of teaching and assessment processes and guidelines;
