Full Time/Permanent/Aberdeen City Campus
Salary: £41,833.00 - £50,359.00 per annum
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual, with a passion for teaching, who is keen to pass on their knowledge of physics and mathematics to the science students at Aberdeen City Campus. Our curriculum covers introductory science through to Higher National Diploma levels (SCQF levels 4 to 8) and teaching duties will be across this range.
The ideal candidate should be qualified to a minimum of honours degree or equivalent level in physics or a strongly related degree, and should be able to demonstrate experience of having applied their physics knowledge in a practical manner, either in research or industry, or through teaching to SCQF level 7 or above.
Excellent communication and social skills are key aspects of the role, along with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with students and colleagues. Teaching experience is not essential but would be advantageous. If you do not already hold a relevant teaching qualification, you will be contracted to obtain a TQFE (Teaching Qualification in Further Education) once employment has commenced.
