The Advert

If you are enthusiastic about Plumbing and Heating and training people to work in Construction professions, are a highly effective team player who actively assists colleagues and have the ability to pass on knowledge and skills to students, we want you to come and join our team.

 

Applicants must be qualified to SVQ level 3 and hold a National certificate in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent (SCQF Level 6).

 

Applicants should have at least 5 years’ experience working within a domestic context

 

Experience of teaching is not essential but you will be contracted to obtain TQFE (Teaching Qualification in Further Education) once employment has commenced if you do not already hold a relevant teaching qualification.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

  1. Working knowledge of Plumbing
  2. Good communication skills
  3. Good presentation skills
  4. Good interpersonal skills
  5. Good organisational skills
  6. Ability to develop and use appropriate learning/teaching/training materials
  7. Computer literate
  8. * Knowledge and/or experience of the use of electronic learning materials

 

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  1. SVQ Level 3 in plumbing (or Equivalent SCQF Level 6)
  2. Up to date knowledge of current Plumbing practices
  3. At least 5 years’ experience working as a Plumber in a domestic context
  4. Teaching or training experience
  5. * Teaching qualification (TQFE or equivalent)
  6. * Assessment experience
  7. * Assessment qualification
  8. * ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence)
  9. * GTC registration
