We are seeking confident and self-motivated information assistants to join our team at NESCol library. You will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our library service, contributing to the overall educational experience of our students. These are flexible posts and you will be required to provide cover between our Aberdeen City and Aberdeen Altens campus libraries.
The appointed person will be able to work well with other people as part of a team. A strong focus on customer service is required as you will assist users in locating resources, answering enquiries, and creating a welcoming and supportive environment. Excellent communication skills are essential and you will be able to convey information clearly and interact effectively with students and staff. The role will require a degree of lone working so the person appointed must be comfortable working autonomously.
You will be able to work at SCQF Level 5 and have experience in the use of Microsoft applications such as Teams, Word and PowerPoint. The ability to navigate digital platforms and assist library users with technology-related inquiries is a key aspect of the position.
