Receptionist/Student Information Assistant (Ref A115)

Part-time (18.75hrs)/Permanent /Aberdeen City Campus
Working Pattern: Monday – Thursday 1300 – 1700, Friday 1300 - 1545

Salary: £30,269.61 - £31,133.27 pro rata per annum
Actual Salary: £16,215.86 - £16,678.54 per annum

 

A vacancy for a Receptionist/Student Information Assistant has become available at the Aberdeen City Campus.

Reporting to the Student Information and Admissions Officer you will be required to provide a high quality and flexible ‘front-line’ reception, information and referral service for all clients of the college which is comprehensive, accurate and efficient across all campuses.

You will be required to deal with all visitors to the college with the highest possible standards of customer care to both internal and external customers whilst ensuring you operate an efficient telephone system.  Ensure all visitors are signed in and out and direct all clients and visitors to key locations and personnel.  You will be responsible for administering the incoming and outgoing emails and ensure the Reception Area (including stands) is kept clean and tidy with adequate stocks of general college info on display at all times.  There will also be a duty to administer bookings for rooms, ICT equipment and pool cars as required.

You should be educated to standard grade or equivalent in English and it is desirable to hold ECDL.  The successful candidate will have experience of working on a busy reception/switchboard within a customer care focused environment.  You will have a good knowledge of Windows based computer packages.  You will have a pleasant manner face to face, on the phone and via e-mail with a positive attitude. You will have a flexible approach to work.  The ability to work and remain calm under pressure as well as maintain confidentiality is key.

Please note the working pattern is as below and is non-negotiable:
Monday – Thursday 1300 – 1700, Friday 1300 - 1545
