Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools are currently recruiting for a Facilities Assistant (Cleaning and Janitorial) on a permanent basis to start immediately, subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks. The role is part time, working 16 hours per week with a salary range of £11,588 to £12,536 (ESMS Support Staff F Scale). The role is based across all School sites.
The purpose of this role is to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment across campus by providing janitorial, cleaning and security support. This includes assisting visitors, monitoring venues, and ensuring all areas are free of hazards and properly prepared for events. Additionally, the role involves routine cleaning of high-use areas, such as restrooms and walkways, and performing general duties as directed by management.
The successful candidate should have experience in cleaning, be capable of operating cleaning equipment, and possess strong physical stamina. They should work well both independently and in a team, be highly organised with excellent time management skills, and have strong communication skills. Eligibility
