Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant (with responsibility for Senior School Library and Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme Administration) to join Stewart’s Melville College on a temporary basis. This is a part time term time only position for 27.5 hours per week available from August 2025 (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks) until June 2026. As this is a part time post, the pro rata salary range for the role is £16,199 to £16,777 per annum and is dependent upon qualifications and relevant experience.

The postholder will be responsible for supporting the School’s Library and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme staff through administrative, supervisory, and promotional tasks to ensure smooth operations.

The successful candidate will have previous administrative experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong communication and teamwork skills, the ability to work with teenagers and manage multiple tasks independently, and a flexible, professional approach. Experience in a school or library setting, a love for books, and a commitment to continuous professional development are desirable.
