Work Based Assessor - Fabrication and Welding
Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment Faculty
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Grade 4 Points 18 to 22
£29,783 to £32,701 per annum
(salary pending pay award and subject to pending job evaluation)
This salary includes £2,500 Market Allowance, which is in place until the outcome of Job Evaluation is confirmed and then will be reviewed.
Would you like to be part of a highly motivated team of Work-Based Assessors working with organisations looking to upskill and reskill their workforce by undertaking Modern Apprenticeships and SVQs within Engineering sector?
West Lothian College has an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated Work Based Assessor, Engineering (Fabrication and Welding). You will be educated to SCQF Level 8 in the Engineering industry, preferably holding a Fabrication and Welding qualification and be assessor qualified or prepared to complete an assessor award within six months of starting. You will have a good understanding and previous experience of the Engineering sector, with specific knowledge about Fabrication and Welding and possess good organisational skills to prioritise effectively. You will also have the ability to communicate at all levels in order to help others achieve.

Those shortlisted will be required to to deliver a 10 minute presentation and undertake a competency based interview.
