ABOUT THE JOB
Through the management of a team of executive leads, develop and manage long-term business relationships with and on behalf of chief officers and executive teams, liaising between external partners and internal clients to ensure the timely, smooth running and successful delivery of our corporate communications service according to clients’ needs.
Provide a professional, trusted and proactive service that enhances and protects the reputation of Police Scotland by supporting clients with specialist communications advice, guidance and support.
Lead on the delivery of a consistent communication service, both proactively and reactively, in order to deliver the organisation’s objective of improving the safety and wellbeing of people, places and communities in Scotland.
To provide resilience support to the Corporate Communications function where and when appropriate for other services such as basic intranet updates, social media posts, press releases etc.
ABOUT YOU
You will be educated to Degree level in a Communications/Media related discipline and demonstrable experience. Where no qualifications exist proven experience at an equivalent level in a similar environment.
You will have Supervisory or Managerial experience working in a busy corporate communications role or in the media.
Experienced in managing teams within a dynamic, multifunctional environment, and ability to work on own initiative.
Effective management of resources including budgetary control.
This full time post is permanent and requires Management Vetting. You will work 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
