The Association for Fostering, Kinship and Adoption (AFKA) Scotland is an independent charity that promotes and facilitates evidence-informed best practice in fostering, kinship care and adoption, through advising, training, and influencing practitioners and policymakers, and supporting them to improve outcomes for children and families.
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Lead. This role provides an ideal opportunity if you are interested in working in research that contributes directly to informing and influencing practice and policy related to fostering, kinship care and adoption.
You will lead and manage AFKA’s research activities and a small team of researchers. You will develop research projects, secure funding, build collaborations with a range of external partners and deliver an excellent standard of research and related activities for AFKA’s members.
You will be working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary environment and leading a team of talented, committed researchers. You will have a varied workload that contributes directly to supporting sound and innovative practice for professionals working in vital roles with children, young people and their families.
