Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen with the Improvement Service in the role of PSIF Project Officer.

The purpose of the role of PSIF Project Officer is to work collaboratively to deliver tangible and sustained improvements across the public sector. The Officer will support a range of PSIF projects and self-assessments across a variety of public sector organisations, such as, councils and Community Planning Partnerships.

About the role

The role requires the ability to support a wide range of public sector bodies to implement the PSIF self-assessment framework. The project officer will be required to provide self-assessment support to corporate management teams, service level managers and frontline staff. This will include how to apply the PSIF checklists; analysis of checklist findings; and facilitation of consensus and improvement planning sessions.

Information

Location:  Your primary place of work will be West Lothian Civic Centre, Howden Road South, Livingston, West Lothian, EH54 6FF. It is anticipated that the role will involve a blended model of office and home working. The post-holder may be required to attend events across Scotland on occasion, therefore some travel is anticipated.

Duration: Fixed Term until 30 June 2026

Hours:  36 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
