Requirements
Location: West Lothian Council Civic Centre, Howden South Road, Livingston, West Lothian, EH54 6FF
It is anticipated that the role will involve a blended model of office and home working. This flexible approach will be agreed between employee and line manager.
Duration: 12 months (with possibility of extension beyond this date subject to funding)
Hours of Contract: Standard working week is 36 hours Monday to Friday. Hours can be worked flexibly in agreement with the Line Manager.

Responsibilities
The Improvement Service (IS) is looking for a Project Officer to support the Capacity Building Team within the Scottish Climate Intelligence Service, which is a partnership between the Edinburgh Climate Change Institute and the IS. The Service will build capacity within Scottish local authorities to improve decision making for area-wide emissions reduction by providing the data and tools, and building the skills and confidence in using them, to deliver better climate outcomes and realise the social and economic benefits of a zero carbon Scotland.
The purpose of this role is to provide project support for the Capacity Building Team of the Scottish Climate Intelligence Service (SCIS), working closely with the Capacity Building Manager and Local Leads. The post-holder will also work in liaison with all IS staff and with stakeholders and partners across Scottish local and central government, other public sector bodies and relevant organisations as required.
