About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic tutor to deliver high-quality procurement and commercial training to stakeholders within the Scottish public sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and practical experience in public procurement regulations, policy and commercial practices; as well as the ability to effectively engage and educate a diverse audience.

Scotland Excel’s Academy provides an award-winning multi-disciplinary training and development portfolio comprising procurement, commercial, leadership & management, project management, business analysis, decision making and innovation disciplines. Our primary objective is to develop the knowledge and skills of public sector stakeholders, enabling the immediate application of these for the benefit of their roles and organisations.

This Academy Tutor role focuses on working with Scotland’s 32 local authorities through a flexible hybrid working model splitting time between home and some time at our office at Renfrewshire House in Paisley.

You would be joining an effective and ambitious team striving to develop people and organisations to tackle the challenges of today and tomorrow. It’s an exciting time to join as we evolve our strategy to address our national community’s growing needs across procurement, construction, social care, net zero and others.

What we can offer you

As well as a competitive salary, you will have access to all the benefits of working for a public sector organisation including a defined benefits pension scheme, generous holiday allowance, hybrid working (1 day office, 4 days remote working at present) and other flexible working options. You will have access to staff discounts and a range of other initiatives which reflect our commitment to creating a positive work-life balance for all our employees.
