This is an excellent opportunity to join Digital Services as an Entry Level Analyst focusing on Cyber Security.
As an Entry Level Analyst you will provide first line support for incidents, monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and remediate, ensuring security best practice, and support colleagues across Digital Services and the wider organisation to ensure a secure and resilient environment.
The successful candidate will be experienced in providing effective technical advice to customers. Though demonstrable experience is more important than formal qualifications, you will have a thorough understanding of IT infrastructure in general and cyber security in particular.
You will be responsible for the prioritisation and progress of day to day tasks within the Cyber team, investigating incidents, analysing, tracking, and documenting. You will be familiar with the associated terminology, tools and techniques. You will be required to communicate well verbally and in writing, and an ability to respond calmly and efficiently under pressure will be required and you may have to respond quickly to urgent events and without complete information to hand.
The nature of the role is such that you may need, from time to time, to carry out confidential investigations. You will need to be able to demonstrate a record of reliability, honesty, discretion and personal integrity.
You will have a solid understanding of the legislative and regulatory environment relating to information management and governance (for example data protection legislation).
The successful candidate will provide feedback to colleagues working on the IT Helpdesk to help them to improve their performance and the service that they provide, sharing information and assisting others with calls.
