SPT Digital are continuing to evolve our capability to develop digital products by recruiting an enthusiastic Product Technology Leader during an exciting period of Digital Transformation.

This role will give the successful candidate the chance to be innovative and really make a difference within the organisation and the services we provide to customers throughout the West of Scotland.

This role will be pivotal in driving the technology behind our internally developed products that support a wide variety of services across SPT (inc Glasgow Subway, Buchanan Bus Station, ZoneCard and Subsidised Bus Services).

The role will fundamentally focus on the design and delivery of digital products and supporting our Software Engineers through coaching and mentoring.

SPT Digital projects are varied, encompassing many aspects, including the replacement of legacy systems, innovating solutions to replace paper processes and delving into new solutions across the Partnership.

About You

The successful candidate will be a technical lead with proven capability of designing, developing and implementing multiple products simultaneously and who has strong experience in managing different groups of developers with the ability to identify, prioritise and execute tasks.

The ideal person will have a strong software engineering background with knowledge of PHP plus Laravel, Vue, Node.js and preferably Power BI (equivalent technologies will be considered for the right candidate). You will also have strong skills in both frontend and backend web development

You will have experience in leading and supporting different groups of developers as well as the ability to identify, prioritise and execute tasks.

You must be a self-starter who is highly organised, customer focused and is comfortable with changing priorities when required. Effective communication and leadership skills are essential for this role.

You will be someone who can help SPT evolve through using their passion for development, solutions and technology.

 Full time hours will be 35 hours per week Monday to Friday. However, you may be required to undertake work outwith this norm to meet the responsibilities of the post.
