Tayside Contracts wish to appoint an Estimating Services & Business Development Manager to lead and manage a well established and very successful unit to ensure effective performance and service delivery across the Construction Division.

Tayside Contracts is the commercial trading arm of the Councils of Dundee City, Angus and Perth & Kinross and provides Construction and Facilities Management services. With a turnover of over £76M and a workforce in excess of 2,500 we are one of the largest employers in Tayside.

The Estimating Service & Business Development Manager role is seen as critical to our aim of providing high quality, cost efficient shared public services and will work closely with other operational managers to ensure this.

You will be an integral part of the Construction Division management team, providing front line estimating support and leading on business development across the division. Building strong relationships with the operational unit teams and the key stakeholders for the unit. Responsible for driving forward the accuracy and utilisation of our cost data, with one shared system and project analysis system for the division and client monitoring.

You will have had extended experience of pre-construction and estimating management and business development in a commercial organisation at a senior level, utilising technology, industry techniques and innovation.
