Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject and/or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through previous experience.

Experience in contributing directly to the design, development of strategies or plans for future implementation.
Experience of appointing and managing staff.

Excellent organisation and administrative skills.
Skilled at applying analytical and problem solving skills.
Skilled at working with information from a range of different sources and being able to judge which source to select/reject.
Ability to apply recognised analytical techniques.
Skilled used of digital applications to support key functions of the role.
Skilled in analysing information and strategic planning.

Please note that it is Midlothian Councils policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale.
Based on 36 hours over 52 weeks per year, the minimum actual salary for this position is £50,549.90 per annum.
Requirements
