We have an opportunity for a motivated and committed individual to join the Finance Department at New College Lanarkshire.
In this role, you will report to the Financial Controller and support the effective financial management, reporting, governance and control of the College’s financial resources. You will be responsible for preparing management and statutory financial information, supporting budget management processes, maintaining financial controls and providing professional financial advice to budget holders and senior managers.
You will contribute to the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts and statutory annual accounts, as well as supporting financial returns, audit processes and the continuous improvement of financial systems and procedures. You will also play a key role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements and College policies and procedures.
You should be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ICAS, ICAEW or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years post qualifying experience in a professional accounting or finance role.
Experience of preparing management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and statutory financial information is essential, together with advanced Excel skills and experience of integrated financial management systems.
You should also have excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders and build effective working relationships across the College.
This post will be based at one of our three main campuses, but there may be a requirement to work at any of our campuses within Lanarkshire and East Dunbartonshire as appropriate to the remit of the post.
CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: Thursday 23rd July 2026 at 4.30pm
